Default Coilovers on a Sierra

I have noticed that you can fit coilovers to the rear on aSierra. This feeds all the suspensionloads through part of the bodywork designed for the shocker not the roadspring.Has anyone seen the sheetmetal destroyedin this area, punched through etc…… or any other effect on the bodywork?History has shown that this does not alwayswork.When the MK1 Lotus Cortina wasdeveloped with the coilovers, testing showed the body to bend/distort andreinforcement was needed to stop the body bending like a banana, hence thesteel tubes in the boot and rear quarter panels.

I have ran coilovers on my daily saph for the past 4 years with no signs of distortion or metal tearing,

the advice is to use a rear strut brace to stop the forces pushing the turrets inwards
