Xr4i 2.8 engine noise after rebuild

Default Xr4i 2.8 engine noise after rebuild

Hi,

I've a little rebuild of my 2.8 engine (head gaskets) and also replaced a burnt valve.

After installed it all again and start the engine sometimes it make very loud noise (specially on acceleration) like tuppet noise. I've checked twice all valve clearance and it's OK.

As you can see in the video when it starts making noise if I let it idle for a while it disappears.

I do not know these engines but do the tappets need to be shimmed? Could it be a hydraulic tappet stuck or not getting enough oil / pressure?
