As title really, I'm trying to remain my Std management, but always thought the throttle body looks small in these. It's a saph cossie gt3076 spec, also thinking about using the auto specialist inlet manifold. Just need bigger throttle body options please

My car is near on 500bhp and the throttle body is standard. I have got the Hart manifold.

MK Motorsport and a few others do larger throttle bodies if needed. I have got a larger throttle body on the shelf but have not used it so far.

It's just being able to use the Std tps ain't it. Not too fussed on the iscv but it would be nice to remain that as well

Not sure where my bigger one came from originally but it too runs the standard TPS and has ISCV too.

With a bit of work you could get the TPS mounted on anything with a spindle on it.

There is a guy on ebay who can mod the std body for a larger butterfly.

Cost about 100 quid.

Thanks.
The link never seems to come out right for me.

Wonder what the std body will flow in terms of power.?

Harvey told me that he's seen 700hp a few times on his engine dyno with a standard throttle body and there's no need to change unless going beyond that.

Harvey has prob forgotten more stuff than most tuners/engine builders know.

I am sure the op will appreciate that info.......

yes I was also told a standard t/b will flow way over 500bhp. Some tuners advise change at around 550, I won't name them though.

Thanks. Lee.

In theory they could flow up to 700bhp but actually be causing some restriction / heat etc..at 550bhp and therefore by removing the restriction with a larger body you improve the efficiency...therefore it doesn't hold the power back at 550 with no further gains until removed but could benefit in some way potentially.

Or go the whole hog and get a Mountune or MK roller barrel throttle body for really good throttle response (According to Mr Shead)

He does both, large body in billet, also his own inlet OR Billet roller barrel inlet.
