best oil for t5 rebuild

Default best oil for t5 rebuild

Hi i have a few questions about the t5 box , since i have to rebuild the gearbox due to it locking out while in 3rd under load, bought rebuild kit but I'm not certain of what oil to use the ford manual say atf but i have seen other people on here said they have used gear oil 75w/ 90w , so could some one advise me which oil is best

IMO depends on your use, if its mainly for road use then, ATF, if you are using on track then a good quality 75w90 like Millers Oils.

Yes I would agree, a good quality ATF for road use.
