Default Petrol flap opening mechanism

My 2WD sapphire for some reason is fitted with the 4x4 petrol filler flap

It does not fit flush to the bodywork so I've ordered a 2WD one

But I'm unsure on the mechanism that keeps it closed

Are 2WD and 4x4 the same I thought the 4x4 was cable operated to open it.

Can anyone help me with this.

Mine has no cable but the mechanism looks like s cable could be fitted.

Thanks

There is no cable remote opening on a 2wd Saff. The flap just pulls open and the petrol cap has a lock on it.
