Default 4x4 Cosworth steering wheel leather

I see a few sellers on the likes of EBay sell custom leather covers that you lace up as per the original for various cars, but don't seem to list the sierras at all. Has anyone found anyone that makes a good quality leather replacement cover for the 4x4 wheel , or has anyone made a pattern from there original cover and had it made by an auto upholsterer and fitted it successfully. Thanks David

Thanks for that. The only trouble is with me being in New Zealand, I would have to be without the steering wheel for some time. Was really wondering about a bit more of a DIY fix. I'm sure if you could get the leather cut and stitched to the right shape, the stitch for lacing it on to the steering wheel could be learned easy enough. Cheers David

Try Gary at RS Classics for a good replacement. By the time you find a good trimmer etc it may pay just to buy another steering wheel.

I had a leather steering wheel retrimmed in Christchurch and it wasnt cheap.

You can always ask around on the NZ RS Owners club. Try them on Facebook

I do have a wheel off a wagon I could probably fit while it was away getting done. (looks similar - but a bit larger in diameter and not leather covered) Paul do you remember what sort of money they charged for the retrim. Thanks David
