Default Saph Cosworths with the RS badge

Out of curiousity, why did some of the Sapphire Cosworths (especially the early ones?) come with the RS badge in the rear, but others didn't? Were the first batch of 2500 or 5000 equipped with them as they were the Group A homoglation versions?

UK ones did, however, overseas Ford did not do so, as they believed the Cosworth badge was enough to identify the car.

Yes, it seems to be so.
