Default Cosworth fuel tank

Has anyone had any issue with aftermarket fuel tanks and the outlet connection size. I bought one from a 'specialist' and had it painted etc. when ive fitted it the outlet size is massive compared to the standard tank. think matt lewis sells replacement braided pump to tank hoses and listed as 15mm ID. ive had to use 16mm ID pirtk fuel hose and had to heat it up to stretch it over the tank fitting. the standard cotton braided hose physically wouldnt go over as it was too small. Also the short hard breather pipe from filler neck tube to the top of the tank (the bigger one next to the filler tube hole) wouldnt reach the connection on the tank, was about 8mm too far away. ive had to heat that pipe as well to stretch it far enough to fit.

spoke to the supplier who has said they have supplied 100's of these without issue. like that means its not a dodgy tank Anyway im getting smell of petrol vapour from somewhere and not very happy that ive paid to have it all painted and having issues.
just wondered if anyone else has found this issue with aftermarket fuel tanks, or if all the original pipes/hoses have just popped straight back on.
thanks in advance.
