Default Sierra cosworth carbon airbox lid or rs500 box??

On my saph and every saph I have owned before every 1 has had a k&n cone filter fitted.
I hate the way they look and they don't fit well at all in the space the standard airbox takes up.
Been looking around and seen this http://www.randbmotorsport.co.uk/sho...?ProductID=143
I quite like it and may buy 1 but is it going to flow enough for my t35?
You can also choose 60 and 65mm outlets, any advantage going bigger and using a one off hose to reduce it fir my turbo?
Also like the look of the rs500 airbox but finding a good 1 may be difficult.
Anybody running 1 or any experience of 1??
You're view would be appreciated.

Proper 500 airboxes don't come up very often and are changing hands at over £500 these days.I sold one last year and I couldn't believe it went up to £400 on ebay.

I've a Pipercross foam filter on mine and it seems to fit better than the big K&N so might be worth looking at different styles of filter maybe too?

The base of the box is the same for all versions of the sierra, its just the lid thats a bit deeper on the 500 version and a larger outlet for the hose. They all use the same standard filter. Unless you need one for an original 500 just go for the aftermarket lid, its nicer and saves a few pennies

Another question, what power level does the standard lid become restrictive?
Say including a quality k&n or foam panel filter???

Tried my standard airbox on tonight and I have a problem, the pace intercooler outlet directs the hose towards the airbox inlet, possibly the samco hose may need cut down a bit where it comes out if the turbo?
I much prefer the look and fit of the standard airbox over the cone filter so I want to make it work.

Did you bung up the breather connection in the lid?
My car has an aftermarket breather so if I refitted the airbox it won't get anything on it.
I like that airbox lid.
Wonder how many kids there actually are floating about?
