Hi,

as per title, is a Sierra 2.0 injection fuel tank the same as a cosworth fuel tank with the internal swirl pot, outlets etc?

The original cosworth tank has a large plastic swirl pot set up inside it. I'd be carful fitting other tanks as I did and ended up with massive surge issues but mine was modded a fair bit

I've currently got a pattern part fitted with internal fuel pot (metal) but still had surge when running under 1/3 of a tank on track so was wondering if the 2.0 inj tank was the same as the cosworth original with the better plastic swirl pot.

I never had a single surge issue with the original tank at 500bhp. I got a pattern one with a metal swirl pot had it converted to aero fittings put it in the car when I changed my fuel lines and it surged like fuck. Had to fit a swirl pot and second pump

Those aftermarket tanks are poo.
The sierra injection tank is the same only if it has a external fuel pump.

So to be sure if its a injected pinto tank its the same along with early xr4x4 and 4i.

I put a new aftermarket tank on my old 3dr and it was fine. You need to make sure its the same as the xr4i - no issues on track either
