Looks like a stunner that
Why wait Glenn, I've had my saff out twice this week which means I've probably used it 3 times all year!

After spending a fortune on bodywork im scared shitless that the salt attacks it and starts rusting lol. It will get used in the nice weather. I will use it for goingto and from work.

PassionFord Post Whore!!
Hi Glenn, I do use mine all year round but with a 450bhp engine the mpg figures when you use it properly are scary!
Years ago when I used to use it as my daily driver it cost me shit loads for fuel
. As I have said before in Winter you have to pick your times you take it out.I am the same about rust so if there is loads of salt on the roads it stays in the garage.
These days I have the agreed value classic car Insurance which restricts me to 3000 miles per year which is fine.
Cheers, Richard from Southampton.

Mine has also got the vented bonnet , it was put on in 1992. The only thing a couple of years ago on its mot they said my honeycomb background number plates were no longer legal.

I use my van as a daily and have no 'need' for a car, the saff is just a nice to have.
Can't imagine what 450bhp would be like, mine is all over the place in the wet and it is standard!

I hear where you're both coming from with salt and the alike. I would still use mine in the winter but it would always get cleaned before I put it away again.
