AP 6 pots on a sapph, wheels?

Anyone know if 18" comp mo 6 et 35 cover 6 pots? Or even focus Rs wheels mk1

Thanks

Should be fine.it's when you go for the giant discs you run into probs

Cos500 03-02-2016 07:39 AM

362mm?

james kiely 03-02-2016 08:09 AM

On the comps should be fine not sure about focus wheels

james kiely 03-02-2016 08:10 AM

I'm sticking with 355 discs so I can go back to 17 inch wheels if I want. 362 is overkill on a road car anyway lol

I have 370 disc under 17"s
But they are split rims so there is a little more clearance

Mostly road but Nurburgring every year, I'd prefer 17" but for now my build costs are high so just trying to find a suitable 18" wheel, I'm pretty sure the focus wheel fits over these brakes on a focus but on sapph not sure, plus arches will need to be rolled for that wheel.

I've researched this a lot over the last 6 month and spoken to a good few owners and I can confirm,

8x18 ET35 comp mo6 (new or old style) will fit over AP 6pots (7040/9040 caliper) and 362x32 discs on 4wd

You can fit 362's under certain 17 inch rims if your 2wd as the disc sits further into the inner rim

If it's 2wd you can go to 378's if you shave some off the caliper

Some good info there thank you, any idea what 17"s they may fit behind?

Only wheels I can confirm are the team dynamics above and Raceline RL7

Sorry to hijack the thread Cos500 but can anyone please confirm if it is the same story with shaving of the calliper with the CP5555 calliper and 378mm discs? Really don't want to be shaving anything after dropping 2K+!! Heard these are the best calliper so will go with them this year, finally.

I want the MO6s too, not sure what offset but reading here ET35 I guess. Could do the 362mm discs if they're a better fit. Cheers lads.

Philip.

No worries all good info

dojj 03-02-2016 09:42 PM

You can get the wheels made to whatever offset you want

Let me find a pic

Ok so it's on my mondeo, but you can see the size of the disc compared to the wheel and how much space there is for the calliper

That's 362's and the wheel was made with an et40

Sierrasideways 03-02-2016 10:08 PM

Thanks Dojj great info. I'll give Martin a bell when the time comes.

Philip.

4wd hubs/bells won't take any more than 362's.

Cossy Mike 04-02-2016 03:53 AM

On a saph!

Escos can go to 378's as the offset is down ET15.

The problem with the saph 4wd is the caliper runs so close to the spokes on the wheel, I have no info on the CP5555 calipers
