Default 2wd front discs

Ok guys what are the best sierra cosworth 2wd front brake discs to use these days, I don't have a cossie but my zetec turbo escort uses the 283mm discs. I've warped a set from the motor factors that I use, I've also had a set of drilled and grooved of ebay that were iirc around £70, these feel warped now (still need to confirm on the brake tester at work)

Is there a good brand to go for these days or is it pot luck? I give them a relatively hard time as the car is a toy that only gets used for pleasure driving.

Cheers
Stu.

Come on guys 146 views, does nobody with a 2wd cossie have the 283mm discs anymore or has nobody replaced them recently?

I've done the Grand prix trackday unfortunatly the bosch discs didn't servive
Proberbly not rearly a fair test on them were working rearly well did a cooling down lap stoped for lunch went out again bad vibration came in cleaned disc serface still no good

I think I need bigger brakes and bigger wheels to fit them under better start saving
£3000?

I have used grooved ones from woodford Garage they lasted longer but were nearly twice the price and I was only doing the Indy circuit

Cheers Tim.

I,ve been using these national grooved discs on my 3dr with ds2500.
Quite acceptable for road use but i,m not suprised they give up on track.

the pads you use will also have an effect, the harder the pad the more they will wear the disc away which might be why they aren't lasting

have you tried cheap pads AND cheap discs?

or does anyone do a 2 peice version?
