Default Saph 4x4 idle control valve issues

Hi I'm having an issue with my icv on my Saph, it's revving at 1500rpm when it's hot. It's fine when cold at around 1100-1200 then when it's warm it raises itself up slightly. If I disconnect the icv the revs drop to 800rpm and it idles smoothly like it should but if I reconnect it back up and rev it the idle will sit at 1500 again. I thought it was an air leak as I've had the throttle body off a couple of times and the thread I the throttle bracket through the plenum one of the bolt holes the thread was fucked so had that helicoiled and a new cosmetic gasket on the plenum and throttle body. Still no joy. What else could cause this or how do I go about testing for air leaks?
Thanks

If however that does not sort it the gasket on the inlet manifold may have gone. Mine went just behind no4 after seeing the engine revs rise after spraying a bit of WD40 around the manifold.

Check your throttle position sensor calibration.
Easiest way to check for leaks is spray some easy start/brake cleaner or similar around the joints when its idling. If the revs pick up when you spray over a certain area then you've found your leak.

Its easy enough but the rear bolt on the manifold is a right bugger to do up or take off unless you have tiny hands lol.

Ok thanks guys I'll try cleaning icv out first. Tps was checked the other day and is 0.4v at idle and goes smoothly to 4.8v. Hopefully isn't the inlet gasket lol
