BOA fitting, whats needed
After hearing the sound of the Boa and the sheer size of it and the look of the mighty thing under the bonnet of a sierra is amazing. Basically i've got a mk2 fiesta at the side of my house doing nothing, it has many parts on it worth quite a few hundred quid so i could put this money into buying a BOA to rebuild and fit to my sierra 2litre twink at a later date.
Questions are....
What parts would i need as i want to keep my mt75 gearbox and the same running gear if possible?
What mounts etc to bolt straight in?
Other bits and bobs whats needed?
Any info is much appriciated
Thanks

Boa engine, loom and ecu! See slammedmk3van for these
You'll need an lsd diff v6 engine crossmember and engine mounts(xr4x4)!
You will need a xr4x4 mt75 4x4 box to combine with your too make a hybrid then a set of v6 clocks(xr4x4)
After that just odds and sods really im in process of doing this myself you will need boa down pipes to make an exhaust to
Good luck Wes

Thats smashing mate thanks
I have the 7.5" lsd atm so is this no good then? prop shaft aswell?
Are all parts from the xr4x4 then (minus the engine of course) and does everything just bolt straight in e.g the crossmember?
Thanks

just get a a whole granada 24v.
Drop the full lot on its crossmember it will fit a Sierra - it was no problem for me.
You may want to change your rack, hubs, shocks, ARB, TCA's etc but I went for the 5 stud goodness and fitted everything except the shock and springs - I used Escort Cosworth shocks, same at the rear - just swapped the diff mount for a Sierra one, all I need now is a gearbox to get rid of the Auto box and I'm away....
Never heard of clocks from an XR4x4 working with a BOA? Is that a well known thing? It's just that I have an XR4x4 that a bloke converted to 24v and it has the Granada rev counter set in the Sierra clocks. Can't see him going to that trouble if the original was any good?
Anyway, horses for courses.
Theres a few ways of looking at it but I stumbled over a cheap Granada 24v so everything was there pretty much except what I mention above..

So your rev counter works? That is so much easier!
As for the cross member.. 12v 2.9 was slapped in mk3 Granada's as well as mk2 Sierra's, in fact the mk3 Granada and both mk1 & 2 Sierra's shared many engine and gearbox arrangements, and as such I would reckon that Ford only made as many engine cross members as they had to.
The BOA & BOB are based on the 2.9 12v Cologne block, not saying the actual arms between the block and cross member are identical , but I am referring to the cross member on its own.
All I can say that I 100% know for fact is the way I did it.
