Default Gaz Gold on a 3dr.

Hi Guys, I've just got my car back from NMS with a 500bhp Gt30 conversion which is absolutely awesome!
The problem now is that the suspension which is standard is not up to the job and I'm after advice as to what is the best to go for, Karl recomends Gaz Gold coil overs which I quite fancy but I'd like to hear from others to know your experiences or what you recommend, thanks in advance!
Spud.

Been told coil overs are harsh on a 3dr... I've got bilstien with AB springs and mine handles 400bhp with ease

I've got Gaz Gold fitted to my 3 Door and think they are really good had standard gaz coilovers fitted before and they were a great improvement over the standard ones.
You have 40 clicks of adjustment on the rear but I find 10 - 12 is really as hard as you need to go otherwise it becomes very bouncy and the rear end will try and come round on you under heavy braking.

Just make sure you order the right poundage of springs mate, I went for 350lb front and 180 rear and find them spot on .

I have standard Gaz with around 380bhp, and they are fantastic. never felt the need to upgrade to golds. Definatley not too harsh. Mine are about mid damper setting all round.

I use gaz golds and get on we'll with them.

Normally gaz send them out with quite jar springs. Just spec what you want and they will be fine

Make sure you spec what you want before you buy - i've just been on the phone with a coil spring manfacturer about a new set to replace my std GAZ springs as they arn't right at all for the car. Kev's 350lb front and 180 rear seems a popular choice

I think if you tell GAZ what spring rate you want they will give you that and not the std rating you normally get.
