Sapphire dash light bulbs

About 75% of mine work (don't know how many there is) and it looks a bit tired.

Does anyone know if you can get some uprated ones? As mine (even and maximum setting on the fader) are really dull :( and them needles don't light up very well.

As don't know what fitment/sort they are.

Answer on a postcard.

Cheers, Smit.

Just replace them with new ones. On my car the bulbs were a bit black. Replacing them gave a much brighter dash again. I think there are about 6 or 7 bulbs in the dash.

Thanks for the reply Marc.

Do you know what size/wattage they are?

Also where did you get them and how much were they?

Cheers :top:

I had some spare clocks lying around, so just exchanged them with those. I suppose you can get new ones from Ford, but maybe also somewhere else. Just take the clocks out to have a look, it isn't that much work.

now this probably isnt much help, but ive seen somewhere on the web (fuck knows where) led dash light bulbs, ford fitment ones too, i would have thought so long as they aint cheapy ebay ones, they should outlast the car at least so a search on the web should be worthwhile, failing that like mentioned above new ones are going to make a hell of a difference anyway

I needed 2 bulbs for my mondeo and led bulbs were cheaper on ebay than normal filament bulbs beleive it or not. Stuck them in and they're fine and should never blow!
