Default ECU map for L8 048/01 green top

Can I find anywhere standard ECU map for L8 048/01 green top, cat/lambda model? I think it might be free.

I am not satisfied with my actual (unkown) content of chip.

Thanks!

If you can find a standard chip or better still get a new chip .MSD off here supply off shelf chips with very good maps in them. There are tuners on here also that could supply maps turbosystems on here may also have what your looking for.

Standard chips are very few and far between, tuners may be able to help you (i.e. MSD) as all the "Tuners calibrations" are copies of the Ford map anyway.

Also it's not a simple case of changing the "chip", you need to know the spec of you engine and have a calibration to suit, even if your car is stage 1 with it's current EPROM, it's best to get a tuner to check it over afterwards.

You may want to book a RR session in the first instance anyway, to see what it's running like.

I found original 048/01 .bin file for my ECU just a litte googling. For example...RP lap wants 60 GBP for simply .bin file to email send.

Thanks.

Yes lol, you found it on Google

For fear of repeating myself you need to be extremley careful, that file you have may/most likely has been modified, if it's a dodgy map you will destroy your engine, I can not see how you trust a downloaded file from the net more than the current chip you have suspicion over, if anything it's worse!

At least with the RP Lab one for example you have piece of mind it is what "it says on the tin", and for what they are charging it is money well spent imo!

Yes, you are right...but if you open this .bin in tunerPRO software, you will see that this ECU image is standard for L8 048/01.

Here's the one I used http://www.tunerpro.net/download/bin.../IAW048_01.xdf it is on the tuner pro website and can be trusted.
