Default Cosworth problem

I have a strange problem with my car, it started the other day when i turned the engine off and the expansion bottle started filling up

The level was fine till i turned it off, then

Then after half and hour back to normal (ignore the fact the levels low)

So then the next time i took it out all was well but the fans stopped working, so it obviously got warm when sitting.

Any adivice? Please dont say head gasket cos that will be my last resort and it starts and drives fine.
Could it be the thermostat?

I'd try the thermostat first.

I solved this problem, and the problem can be seen in this photo. after flushing the rad filling back up it still done it. So i left it for a bit.

Then whilst messing with the power steering tank i pushed one of the expansion bottle pipes and it bubbled in the bottle. Soooo

The bottom jubilee was loose
