Default Hard to find accurate figures how many cosworths are left?

Ive been trying to find some data on how many cosworths are left etc, but hard to find any real answers as loads not been tax or registered in a while, I found a car tax site what shows how many sapphire cosworths have been taxed this year, but its less then 500 seems bit low, surely it be well over a 1000??? also been looking how many crystal blue saphs ave been made and how many left, but again couldn't find anythink, tho have seen theirs less then 100 crystal blue's left, don't think theirs any real answer but am intrigued to see whats left to how many were made etc??

IS THEIR LESS THEN A 100 OF THESE LEFT???

Speak to either Marc McCubbin or Carl Hoey on RS forum and they'll shed some light on this for you

So this site is correct & the Logbook is not . As i said it never existed just what people who probably never owned one called the model because of lack of knowledge.

I think folk labelled the car a Sapphire Cosworth to simply differentiate between the 3dr and Sapphire.

I've seen a site that shows how many (as above) Sierra RS Cosworth remaining but it's doesn't brake down mk1 & 2 nor 2wd/4x4

I think this is about the closest info you could get

Not saying that at all obviously, sapphire is just a phrase to show what model you referring too, perhaps i dint explain it simply enough what i was after/meant.

This thread section is for ford sierra/sapphire/rs500 yes?
I'm only after info on the sapphire model yes? hence why i put sapphire??

if I asked how many cosworths was left? people would of said what model or do you want info on all of them, so i broke it down to the info i was only esquiring about, The car tax site i found was for sapphire cosworths only as that was the only info i was interested in. I'm not even saying the logbook is wrong, i just couldn't comment as Ive not looked on mine! not sure why their a debate lol all i was after was info on the sapphire cosworth as that is the only model im intersted in getting the info for.

Hi mate .....

one of the Ford mags .....made an enquire with the DVLA ....dont know how they managed it .....( if i remember right)

Roughly 1300 2wd Sapphire cosworths ....taxed or sorned
Roughly 1300 4x4 Sapphire cosworths .....taxed or sorned

This was a while ago ....same for the 3dr from memorary...

I will look for the mag article...

Mine Sapphire build number where round 25,000 r/h and l/h drive .....2wd/4x4 inclusive

From memorary the uk got 1/3 of this market ....thats where years ago folk where driving to europe buying l/h drive cossies (cheap) to bring to the uk to break.

Build numbers /colours /....on the to sort one day list
