Intermitent non start while hot

My car has developed a problem where it wont start, intermittently, after a really long drive. I.e to FF from newcastle if you say stopped for some petrol.

Sometimes it does it and sometimes it starts again no probs. when you turn the key there is no noises what soever. Fuel pump goes but it doesnt turn over, click, bang or nothing. Ignition lights all do as they should. Could this be linked to an also intermittent idle issue i have?

Revs some times rise to around 2k. Tps etc has just been done as it was down turbosystems 2 weeks ago.

Cheers for any help guys.

Check all the wiring from battery to starter motor, as if it doesn't turn over maybe a bad connection gives a higher resistance when hot.
