Default Fitting an oil gauge

Rite guys this might sound daft but ive got some ford racing gauges one of which is an oil pressure gauge. I bought a alloy adapter piece offline and already have a pipe. I had a little look today and my question is rite, is the adaptor supposed to go In between the unit which the oil switch is in and the turbo feed pipe facing outwards? Or screw in where the oil switch goes as in going upwards? Just my oil kidney box would seem to be in the way? If going the upwards way. Cheers in advance

I would get a sandwich plate that goes in between the oil filter arm and oil filter (4x4) or just between the block and filter (2wd). You can also then fit other oil gauge senders. Like this.

Plenty on eBay. ;D
