Default Hart Plenum fitting problems **It's on, Finally!!!**

Anyone else actually fitted one?
I've tried today but where the throttle body should go the powersteering pipe from the bottle to the rack is slap bang in the middle and the brake pipes into abs block touch so you can even get it on properly!
Sorry for the poor photo quality they are off my iPhone.

Hello mate you can gıve the brake pıpe a lıttle slow tweek for some clearance and as for the the pas pıpe you should be able to change the pıpe for one wıth more gıve or change the belt for a shorter one whıch wıll change the angle the pıpe comes out.
ıt worth a try

Just managed to bend the brake pipe enough to the the plenum to sit flush but the bloody PAS pipe surely someone else must have fitted one and come across this Danny at EP says he's sold a few of these.

You'd have thought with the names attached to this product, pipes etc if needed would have been supplied, bit poor really isn't it.

Looking at the pics again, cant you just pull the pas pipe out the way once the t/b is on and as said just tweak the abs block pipes but as iv said never seen one be that close to anything!!
Also a word of advice, its best you bolt the cover to the trumpet part of the car and whilst its of work out how to move your obstructions..much easier!!

cheers danny

I was just doing a test fit I started with the trumpet section bolted to the plenum and the TB as well then I took the TB off to see what was catching and then the plenum too as the brake pipe was catching.
Tried moving the PAS pump around but it is always in the way where ever it goes.
I wasn't having at go at you Danny by the way.
Have you fitted one of these to a 3 door before?
Cheers Rich

Here you go.......

I also used banjo brake fittings to get around any clearence issues

And yes you do need to move the power steering bottle back an inch so you can get the pipe on ok.

Just tried that and it doesn't work, you can't get the pipe to fit, and you can't move the pas tank anywhere else there is just no room.

Yes this is a problem that you either do properly or bodge.
Dont be stupid & bend brake pipes thats called a bodge & potentially lethal. You have to move the abs distribution block down an inch or so & re-pipe. Means drilling the inner wing, I have plenty of clearance after doing this even with a 14mm spacer. Surely you measured it before you bought it, I certainly did.

The brake pipe thing isn't an issue anymore i'm was going to make a new bracket for the Distribution block have it flat rather than with the bend it as it onlys needs about 3mm more of clearance.
The real problem is with the PAS pipe!

Yes i looked at that .

I needed more clearance because i used a spacer. My pas pump has been moved to the other side of the engine as ive gone to the Escort set-up so didnt have your problem. Cars are a pain in the arse sometimes .

You will always get this fitting the manifold i fit them and have the same issue every time on a 3dr.

The powersteering bottle can be moved to make it a better fit. Or change (cut) the pipe setup to the rack.

The brake pipe i normally remove then fit manifold and fit the brake pipe after and bleed. If the pipe/s have been off in the past they dont fit as well.

Unfortunatly you can't move the PAS bottle over on a 3 door as the washer bottle is in the way.
How do you mean move the abs down did you lower the whole pump using a bracket?

That just doesn't work, the hoses needs to drop out the way by about 2.5 inches. Been having a look at it i'm going to have to make drop bracket simalar to an alternator drop bracket.
