using the electric pump off a saxo would be the easiest way as you would only need to wire it up and then fit the hydraulic pipes onto your rack, if going the corsa electric column way you would probably have to chop your dashboard about and then find a manual rack

Citroen C5 style can be remote mounted anywhere, as can most modern elec fluid type

I fitted a corsa setup to my mk4 escort estate with ease, there's a few pics on my rebuild thread.

Why what is the benefit of removing the mechanical pump and replacing with electric?

wired a fair few up pn race cars they use the corsa setup with a little control box connectoed to a potentiometer to adjust how much effort you want it to give you. if you want to source the parts i can get a prive for the box of tricks if you want

What about this "saxo" pump that will keep the hoses? And could you make it up with a saxo pump to only be switched on at slow speeds so you get more "feeling" though the wheel feeling what the Tyers are doing more? Or is that only for the "corsa" electric setup?

i cant see the point in swapping from the standard hyd rack pump and hoses to the same setup just with an electric pump. the corsa setup is such a neater job. wired up 2 on series 1 landrovers used for offroading well over 2 years ago now and are stil going strong so just goes to show how much theyll actually take!
