Cosworth XR4i.

My Sapphire has been written off and there aren't too many other decent ones around here to replace it with.

I've seen an XR4i for an okay price. Would it be realisitic, without too much modifying, to fit my Engine into one?

I'm also thinking the diffs in an XR4i aren't made to handle too much power, as my Engine was producing a little bit more than standard. Hopefully the diffs and gearbox aren't too delicate.

Think best option if you want to do it is transfer everything from cossie including engine, box, rear beam, front crossmember, suspension and brakes along with loom and ecu, steering rack etc. basically strip both to a shell and change the lot

Just swap it all over

The only thing you have to modify is the gearbox mount

as stave says fire it all in the 4i ul b fine, all u need to do is mod the gearbox mount,

ave been running my 340bhp saph on a 1.8 chassure cvh diff for bout 6 months and its been fine so the diff in the 4i will b fine to mate

mechanically everything other than the box mounts and the rear arb are just direct bolt on replacements so all you are left with is the wires to sort out
