2wd tps setting help??? problem

my tps settings were wrong & couldnt get it right when adjusting it so brought another 1 as thought it might be faulty/worn

when i fitted new 1 i adjusted it so it was at 4.3 volts & when touched throttle it slowly reduced to 0.3

i know spec is suposed 2 be 5 volts down to 0.5 but it wouldnt have it.

but.................

when i fired engine up it idled at 3k & nomatter what u done u couldnt get it to idle lower (appart from unplugging iscv but then it wont idle in morning!)

so........

ive had to set it to what it was on the old one which is 3.7 on idle & reduces to 0.1 i think?

any idears??????????????

i am going to get it rolling roaded but wanted to sort it out myself instead of paying more then i have to at rolling road centre.
was thinking maybe co wants setting up at same time as iirc its 9.3!!!!!!!!!!!

It HAS to be open circuit at idle, and so 5V, the ECU looks for this signal to activate it's idle and overrun strategies, you could unplug the TPS and start the car, as with it unplugged it's akin to how it SHOULD be set at idle.

When the throttle is opened slightly the switch should close and the voltage drop progressivly the further the the throttle is opened.

There is no point in even attempting to get it running properly from what you mention, with the CO that high you will be washing your bores of lubricant, this can also cause other running problems!
