If you only want replies about people you have heard of, then surely you already know who they are so dont need others to reply anyway?

damien roe 01-09-2011 09:04 AM

yes nick wapples but scs won't do my head unless i get the full engine done there:cry:

Chip 01-09-2011 09:52 AM

Neil and Nick both come from very similar backgrounds at Hart Formula 1 IIRC

Both do fantastic work, but Neil is in the uk and easy to deal with, especially if you go via Steveboyslim on here who works closely with Neil but has more free time to talk to customers generally!

If I want anything doing by Neil, I always give it to steve to sort, often he'll get some of the work that is more routine, like the valve guides replacing or seat cutting etc done elsewhere, and just use Neil for the important bits he is good at, ie the porting itself.
Works well like that IME

Understandable as they dont make any money on the heads

polly_x 01-09-2011 07:01 PM

As said above. Neil Roper. He is doing an Audi head for me as we speak for my latest project.

And as Chip said, your better off going via Steveboyslim as Neil is always busy and Steve can sort a good job on the other machining that likely needs doing.

.....Mmmmm typing that got me thinking? Why is his use name steveboyslim as he neither a young boy or slim? Steve?
