no brakes
 

ok guys i have a problem i need fixing.
my 3 door cosworth is in storage at my parents place in NZ i live in aussy and fly home every 6 months to blow out the cob webs. i have found this time round the brakes have lost pressure you can push the pedal al the way to the floor, you can pump up the pressure and seems ok for a bit then you go for the brakes again and theres nothing again, there doesnt seem to be any leeks, any ideas??
also changing diff oil there doest seem to be any drain bung just a filler bung, do you have to remove the whole back diff cover??

Maybe for the brakes replace the old fluid with new - is the level in the bottle the same as before? is it at the max level

The brakes sound like they need a complete fluid change at the very least.
Ford intended for the diff to be just topped up via the filler level plug hole, as you say no drain plug, personally I'd have also liked a drain plug.

ok guys, looked through my old receipts and car has had a flush and brake overhaul so im thinking its the mastercyclinder.

But when was the fluid changed? Brake fluid is hygroscopic meaning it absorbs moisture even when in the sealed M/C! It's worth changing but it does sound like it's the M/C, does the pump run continuously?
