Head gasket

Which head gasket for upto 400 bhp non metal though.
What is the part number for the genuine group A

YB0611 is the part no ffor the 'group a' gasket. Should be up to the job mate

gingejp 21-08-2010 12:59 PM

any reason you want to avoid the metal one mate?

cossie891 21-08-2010 04:17 PM

Too much work to use a metal 1 and cost really

YB0611 will be fine............

As above YB 0611 will be fine and more than up to the job, copes much better with surfaces that are not perfect as well, just remember to allow a minimum of 4 hours "rest" after torquing then re-torquing if using arp stud and nut kit.

Well it looks like my cometic head gasket has gone without even being used even though I had the block n head skimmed. Lesson learned and I'll use one of these group A gaskets to repair. I've a small turbo escort thats only going to be 300bhp max (prob more like 280). Is the YB 0611 the right one for me too? What head bolts should I use? I dont want to be doing this again in a hurry.
