P100 rear ARB on a 2wd saff?
Just bought a 28mm rear anti roll bar from a P100
Does anyone know of any issues fitting it or if theres even any point in fitting it at all?
Many thanks

28mm????
If a P100 rear arb fits the normal saloon OK I think the guy above is right. A 22mm Escos one is a squeeze with an uprated mount so if it is 28mm at the rear it's going to need some 'mods' perhaps?
Also, 28mm rear will make the back enormously stiff I would fear? The front one is only that size and some people say that the 22mm rear arb makes the car too twitchy for them.
I cannot say whether it would suit your driving though.
I'd be worried about something bending on the back end with that sort of roll stiffness??

WAY too stiff, if the car is not allowed to lean at all such as with this 28mm bar, it will understeerr all day long.
If you want the best fit a 22mm, yet again^^^ s/h news peddled down no doubt from experts that have never tried the 22mm rear arb, making the car twitchy, this could also be interpreted as makes the car 1000% more stable.
I've been running a 22mm adjustable one for over 6 months now, you don't know what you're missing, works even better with adjustable shocks as you can balance the car end to end then, the dire shit about sierra suspension is the rear beam, should have been struts from the start ideally.
If you fit the 28mm bar it will be massively too stiff, and a LOT slower on the corners due to lack of grip from the front end.

I have worked my way from a 2wd Saph rear arb, to a 4x4 one and then the Escos one.
It is a lot stiffer ( 3.5 times I think ) but am just running with normal clamp bushes rather than Powerflex at the moment ( although I can option to those to introduce a bit more stiffness out of the package at any time ). I got it as Mike R ran one on his old Moonstone Blue Sapphire and that handled really well when I went in it at Donington. I also partly got it in anticipation of the 'tighter' VC diff which tends to introduce more initial corner entry 'push.
I've stuck with 2wd Sapph hubs at the moment as I'm running std ride at the front and also most of the roads round here are quite bumpy so I'd prefer the extra stability of the Sapphire hubs rather than trade-off for the enhanced turn-in ( but increased nervousness ) of the earlier 3-door type.

Just a thought, don't pass up the chance of a Scorpio Cosworth rear arb if you find one - will do almost the same job as it's practically as thick
