20K+ Super Poster.
1 Litre of oil can easily be gobbled up in 1000K, a lot more when worn.
My own car has around 280,000 km on the clock, have done the top end, bottom end is sound, and goes well good on fuel etc, but rings are a bit knackered(oil control).

Some good advice above, I rebuilt mine at 160K Kilometers, it was using WAY more oil than that, about 1 litre every 100 ish miles But it depends on the level of tune etc. From what i understand my car had been standard till 120k kilometers, then it was tuned to stage 1, then stage 3 at 133k kilometers until i got it completely rebuilt when it was using loads of oill, it still ran really well and quiet, boosted ok etc, it just was quite embarrasing to drive a nice shiny cossie that smoked like a chimney.
My personal view now is that iit would need rebuilt at anything between 112k - 160k kilometers, and i wouldn't buy one with those miles on it that hadn't already had a rebuild, but that is my personal opinion, as tabetha says, his cars has done alot more and I'm sure there are alot of exceptions to this if it has been well serviced and not run flat out/chipped etc etc.

Too many posts.. I need a life!!
Mine has 150000km on the clock with no rebuild at all and uses around a half liter at 2000km. But the most time when I drive it, it`s with a heavy foot ^^
