Starter wire ?
Made a quite stupid mistake few months ago. I was on the way to add an auxiliary button to start the engine rather than using the key, and I did cut the large BLACK/BLUE wire which goes out of the "key". Now I have this wire, and I don't know where it was connected as I cannot find the other part of the wire (not kidding !!).
Does anybody knows where goes that large BLACK/BLUE wire which goes out of the big plug just after the key ? Thanks very much ! :D |
Just after the ignition lock itself it goes into a connector, be aware that there is another wire exactly the same colour and gauge in the fusebox that has nothing to do with the starter circuit, so don't go too far!!

Yes, just after the lock there is a connector, but I did cut the wire something like 0.6meters after that connector. Just need to know where that wire goes so I can look the other side or redo it ! :) Thank you for helping me mate ! :D

I'm fairly sure it goes upwards just after the connector, but not totally sure.

Well, there is the lock, then a bit of wire, then the small connector, its still 10cm from the lock. Then it goes under the direction column, and then its where I lost it ! :wall:

Best get the magnifying glass out!!

Haha, better wear my own glasses, but honestly I really don't know where that wire is. On the Ford wiring schema it says its going to the anti-theft alarm relay, but there is no such wire on it.
Is it possible that the wire which goes from the lock (50) goes directly to the starter motor ? |
Most likely go to a relay first in the fusebox, if not direct.

it goes direct to the starter

Thanks everybody ! :D
