Default Help and advice needed from the Gurus please

I bought these drive shafts from the bay (link below) and are trying to find out if they are the real mcoy, a tall order from a picture I know but any advice or tricks to tell I would much appreciate it

The seller said they came out of a scrapped 4x4 saph cos and were kept as spare but then the owner sold his cossie and he sold the shafts on his behalf as the owner was a friend, I asked the question to the seller and he couldn't say for definate only the info as above but offered a refund and was sweet about it,

I didn't pay the earth for them as you can see but if they are not cossie shafts and turn out to be xr4x4 ones I'll aim to sell them on

Help much appreciated

Luciano

Right then I have done a measure up by laying shafts as as straight as poss by laying on the floor as in pic, one is just short of 25" 62mm and the other is just long of 25" 64mm

measurement taken from tip on splind to splind.

Don't know if this will help

From the small pic it doesn't look like it has the circlip groove on the end of one of the shafts for the drivers side one - you could check that to see if it has

Sweet mate I don't think it has circlip groove, does that mean they are XR4X4 shafts?

It is something that people do however I like to keep genuine bits on my car, if these are XR4x4 shafts I'll aim to sell them on

i thought exactly the same as Stu - on a hard launch on a lowered car the nearside shaft usually spits its dummy out hence fitting the slightly longer xr4x4 versions.
