Generaly, it is a switch problem. Often.
It is possible to dismantle and to clean inside. Carefully.

Hi, Sierra spec is stage 3 as (343 hp on roller) : Mountune EPROM on L6, T3 1.6 bar, Greys injectors, 3 bars MAP, 4x4 intercooler, Good year F1 tires 215.40.16, Escort wheels, Stock brakes, Bilstein sport line complete kit.
Smoke problem was : turbo shaft broken (1,6 bar is too much for a T3 !!!)

Regards.

Ouch about the turbo Claude - great video though

I had a problem with my rear window working on and off some years ago. Got everything apart connections-wise that I could. Never did find a fault but it did the trick as it was still working yesterday and it must have simply been a dodgy connection..
