Default cracked block....

i was talking to my mate about one off my old posts on here about touque set's and cracking blocks when over tightend or hole not cleaned out. he then told me he cracked he's (2wd cosworth) but he said he still uses his car every day and the odd track day and never had a pob with it, he said he thinks its because the cracks only go from the bolt holes out to the water jackets so any water that does seep out it can only go back into the other water jacket.

can this be true or once the block is cracked its scrap..

thanks

If his car`s still running, then obviously it still works to some extent. Even if your block is cracked it isn`t necessarily scrap, these things can be fixed, most of the time without welding too!
