Rear brake calipers handbrake cable issue
On my 2WD Sapph I went to change rear pads this morning. I took out the old pads and tried to wind in the piston turning it clockwise. It doesn't want to go back in. I've already been advised that one was sticky so I tried to remove the calipers to replace them.
How do you get the handbrake cable off? On the caliper I undid the nut that holds the spring in, pulled back the sprung lever but still couldn't get the hook on the end of the handbrake cable off the lever. What's the technique for doing this?
Thanks all,
Charlie

As you say 4wd one is wider so it fits a vented disc, if I remember right I had to slacken off my cable so that I had enough play there before I could do mine.

Ya let it of fully then get a mole grips on the end of the cable and kinda twist and pull at the same time...Its a good idea to buy the tool for the job there cheap as chips now..

Ya i went down to my local auto factors to get one in a panic and came out with the big set. Think it was about 50 euro... Made it back doing rear pads for all my mates since. I'd say MACHINE MART stock them.
