Default oil cooling too much?

Right I have a 16 (I think) row oil cooler and now a big wing sump.

I have removed my modine no....... thermostat for the oil cooler

I was happy to wait for the oil to get upto temp on the road before nailing it. Am I now gonna be waiting forever with th extra capacity.....?

If so then I guess i now need to remove the cooler or sump or fit a stat for the cooler.

SO................has anone got any experience of the above setup on the road before i start dicking about with stuff

best to try and keep the modine if you can mate and I think you will defo be over cooling the oil unless its on track.

My xr4i used a stat with just a 13 row cooler, was much better with the stat, but still saw 130/140C a lot of the time.
