I had this problem on a 4x4 saff, it was the n/s/f that used to come out. Renewed my engine mounts & it cured the problem.

I was told to replace my mounts to prevent it on my lowered 4x4. I never had any problems after that.

4x4 cos saph decked on avo coilovers with 17inch wheels
it must handle like a dream

Its a shame most don't realise lowering a 4x4 Saph on it arse totally ruins the handling.

Oh yeah replace your engine mounts and fit new shafts that will solve it but the CV joints will keep on breaking if the car is driven proper hard

do not replace the shafts with longer ones as this will cause more problems
for the Ł300 that ggr charge for the longer shaft you can get a pair of adjustable tcas to bring the wheels back in correcting the camber & saving wear on the tyres plus a pair of uprated engine mounts to stop the engine from moving.
i had the longer drive shafts fitted to mine & they were ok until I wanted to go round a corner fast & they caused a load of vibration.

Am I imagining it or was there a mod availble once upon a time that involved fitting a spring in one of the drive shafts?

I popped 2 driveshafts within 2 weeks of each other.
Eventually traced it to both engine mounts broken into 2 pieces!!

Put new Vibratechnic ones on. Job done!!

Drove nicer too!
