Rocker Cover Replacement
I am about to replace my rocket cover on my cossie 4x4 with a new one and then refurb the old one to sell that on.
The new one will be refurbed too when I get it on Monday.
I have a few questions.
I am thinking wire brush it down then sort out any inperfections with sand paper then use sugar soap to make the surface area clean before painting. Would that do before painting?
I have planned to use hammerite paint is this right also? Colours(BLACK,RED,BLUE)
Is there a way to get the aluminium bits around the letters up.
Were can I get the rocket cover gasket from and is there a torque setting for the bolts into the head?

I'm told that paint stripper is OK to remove old paint and ordinary two pack paint is fine providing you use sugar soap and an acid etch primer.
Just paint the whole thing and remove the paint along the raised portion using varying grades of sandpaper finishing with a polish.
Rocker cover gasket from Matt Lewis-ebay shop-and I think the torque setting for the bolts is 15N/mm but someone will correct me if I'm wrong I'm sure.
