oil pressure

Hi, I have recently done a complete rebuild on my engine. And it didnt go as smooth as I thought it would, when i start up the engine it seems to take about 5 - 10 seconds before it builds up any oil pressure which can not be a good sign ? When the engine is cold the oil pressure is around 80 psi @ 1000rpm idle. When the engine is warmed up the pressure sinks to around 15 psi which is way to low considering the lifters starts tapping :S But when I drive I think it seems to be ok, with 60 psi @ 2000 rpm give or take. Does anybody have any idea on what I could check before I start removing out the engine again ?

The engine is an sierra cosworth 4x4 (200) engine.

Every advice will be appreciated...

I would first change the oil filter as it seems to be allowing drain back.
what oil are you using ?

I have already tried with 3 types of filter :S I am driving on a castrol mineral oil (I think) since I have to break it in. What type of oil do you recommend ? Do you maybe think its worth a try to try another mineral oil ?

I personally wouldn't use castrol oil in anything.
I do not know how cold it is where you are but it will affect the grade of oil best for you, so I would contact oilman on here or ring oppie oils for advice.
I just have this vision of NORWAY being full of bears(in the woods) and bloody freezing all the time, like -25C ?

Opieoils.co.uk, if you mention RSOC you will get a discount too.
OILMAN is his handle on here and RSOC, think his name is gavin but couldn't wear to it.
Too many films I have been watching, though when RAY MEARS did a survival there it was cold and snowy, plus me dad been a few/loads of times with army training.
They even taught him to swim in a lake in norway by parachuting him into it!!
