4x4 cosworth over feuling any susjestions please help
I Having A Problem With A 4x4 Cosworth Basically Was A Non Runner, I Have
Checked And Rectified Spark At Plugs, Swapped Map Sensor, Swapped Crank Sensor And Tried Another Fuel Pressure Regulator
I Managed To Get It Started But There Is Serious Over Fuelling Black Smoke.
When I Un-plug The Injectors & Start The Engine It Runs Good For 2-3 Secs
So Tried Injectors I Know Were Just Serviced And Ecu For Same But No Difference. If I Reduce Fuel Pressure Regulator Pressure To Below 1 Bar It Runs And Idles Much Better But Still Over Fuelling (black Smoke)
Any Suggestions Please cheeRS for taking the time to read this

Water temp sensor may be.I had a fault on my cossie when the engine was warm it used to misfire and chuck loads of black smoke at the exhaust. I changed the sensor and its been ok since.

If you know it was running fine before being a non runner, then I would as said change the CTS.
Another thing to check is the PHASE sensor alignment, as unless it is bang on it will overfuel big time all the time and belch soot out as well as drive like a bag of poo, if this is correct, change CTS and set CO to 2.5%
