I never go with name brand ones, I just use "el cheapo" £25 a paid ones and change every pad change, about 5K.
If you want discs to last they can be made to last much longer with freezing first and not that dear.

National Sport 8 groove
Ferodo DS2500 pads

Available from Burton Power, make a very good setup with braided lines and decent fluid.

I use National too, and OMP pads, it suits my need very well.. .. have been braked very hard (VERY HOT), and never had any issues.. Only brakefluid issues.

I got ford ones fitted to my 2wd and they warped after 3k. Got new ones put on for free and a promise to fit another set free if they warp again. I was really careful to be them in and everything but thats the standard kit for you!

If you have never had brake fade with GREENSTUFF, you're driving too SLOW!!
I have yellow stuff all round, and have faded these once, redstuff were nearly as good, greenstuff I could fade in less than 5 miles.
FREEZING the discs refers to CRYOGENIC FREEZING, not really caught on in this country , but is awsome the results, makes things so much better.

Go to Rally Design. Cheap but good quality discs and pads. Far better than the over priced brand name shite.
