SEVERE WHEEL WOBBLE
something else that gone p**sing wrong with my cossie
as above my front left wheel occasionally wobbles and pulls to the left on my cossie 4x4.
my boss recons its the tracking rod or something, is this correct and is it diy repairable as i imagine its something that just needs tightening up.

If a track rod end were bad enough to do this it would do it all the time.
You would also have extreme tyre wear, if it feels like it is wobbling it will most likely do it at a certain speed worse than any other, could just be wheels need balancing, check front and rear.
A wobble is caused by something out of balance and rotating, so anything that does this can cause it.
So also check if needed the driveshaft is not bent, even a touch, there is no serious amount of runout on the disc, even an out of balance disc can do it, though new ones should be balanced when made, if needed.
Look also for loose wheel bearings.

it means when you brake one of the pistons or more in the brake caliper dont release the brakes and stick on, this causing everything to hold back when you floor it, thus causing wheel wobble, when it does it again get out and check the heat of the brakes by spitting on them mate, hope this helps

think i found the problem.
i took the wheel of and found the inside part of the disc is extremelly worn on that side which has p***ed me off a lot as the disc and pads were replaced only in november with 4000 miles on them.
getting new ones again on friday
hope this solves it

persist mate or it will happen all over again, just try and take the sliders off then mate, no need to take the whole caliper of just the bit the outside edge sits on two 13 mil bolts at the back iirc

i had the old girlon the ramps and the garrage said they rebuilt the front end ie diff and arms drive shafts 2 years ago.
any way they put her in gear in the air and got the wheels turning and told me to put my fingers on the inside of the calliper and when i did this the calliper was knocking like a mother f***er so its some thing to do with the brakes i am ordering either ebc discs with red stuff pads or the black diamond grooved and drilled discs with black diamond pads which ones are the best out the 2
reply soon as im ordering them on monday or tuesday many many thanks for the help guys will update when sorted hopefuly
