40 profile is a must for a saff or 3 door, otherwise it will catch on the arches

Claude - nice looking saff
As stated 215/40/16 if for a saff.
I know they were 225s on the original wheels but not sure of the profile. I think it was 225/45/16 but not 100% on the profile.

Yeh the original tyre size on the escort cossie wheels were 225/45R16. I had a sierra hatchback with escort cossie wheels on and i used 215/40R16 goodyear eagle tyres.

215/40/16 goodyear f1's these have the fatter wall best for looks.
