Mine idles at about 20 - 25 psi when fully warm with 10w60 castrol but it will depend on the oil you have and also some gauges are more acurate than others. My Tim gauage is shite.

I think the book figure for a new engine is something like 34 psi cold and 24 psi warm or thereabouts. There are threads on here if you do a search.

That seems a little low for a cold engine. Mine is usually 40psi + when cold but defends how thick your oil is.

When I had mobile 1 it was about 35 psi as I recall and is around 40+ now on castrol RS.

However, I think its more the throughput of oil that is important, more so than the pressure so i'm sure thats fine anyway.

I would say that is way too thin mate. 10w50 is personally the thinest I would go.
