I had 215/40r16 tyres on my old sierra hatchback and the front tyres used to catch every now and then. The car was lowered 35mm though. I can remember trying to find tyres to fit the escort cossie wheels,i tried 225/50r16 tyres and put the wheels on the car. I lowered the car down off my ramp onto the floor and the front wings were just sat on the front tyres. There was no way i could of kept them on without rising the cars ride hight.

I have a set which I haven't tried on yet but they have a 215/40r16 on them and holding them up to the original on the car they look the same size, the bloke I bought them off used to run them on his 2wd cossie
