I've done the conversion on cloth recaros for my old XR4x4 a couple of years ago and it was fairly straightforward but its the same for leather as my brother has done it on leather ones as well.
We used the heated base and back pads from a cosworth granada seat (although I think base model ones had heated seats as well). You need to take the heating pads out - they are just very thin material with heating elements in.
The recaros come apart quite easily - as I recall the central back part just pulls forward. I can't remember how the material came away but it wasn't hard - I think it might have been large staples or something from memory. Either way it was easy to work out how to do it and took me one evening to do both seats. Its much easier to take the seats out rather than trying to work in the car.
I tucked the wires down under the seats and then through the carpet and into the central console and had the relays and wiring under the tape holder in the console so they weren't visible.
I got two heated seat switches from a granada which fit exactly into the blanking the holes of the Sierra central console. You then just take a live from somewhere like the cigarette lighter but make sure it is an ignition on live and not on all of the time or the battery will run flat if you leave the seat on when away from the car!
Good luck

I wouldn't bother with the kit for that price although I did get my doner seats for free so only cost me for 2 relays and some wire.
Good luck whatever you decide.

Just looked on ebay and found the heated seat switches I used (says 2 available) that fit in the blanked off plate on the centre console:

Barry at XR4i spares centre (tel: 01375 672641) based in Essex is the man to speak to re getting a set of heated seats. He usually has loads spare after breaking 24v Granadas for the engines. I bet he would sell you a couple of sets of heating elements for a lot less than the kit price and might even post them out to you as he is really helpful
I'm even thinking about doing the conversion again on my saph as they were good

Nice one. Factory look is best. I think the blanking holes are there because some Sierras (but not UK ones) did have heated seats but they weren't considered necessary for our more moderate climate!
Good modification though. Good luck
