Building a new engine: need help to choose the right Turbo
I’m thinking to upgrade my engine to the following spec
Bd15 in, Bd10 ex cams (would a Bd14 be a better choice?)
“Swedish” plenum
60mm core intercooler
Siemens 850cc (x4)
3" decat exhaust
Mid gas flowed and ported head (std valves)
2wd ex manifold
Fully balanced bottom and all other required bits
The car will be used on road, for runs and track days.
The power target is 450-500bhp
Max RPM around 7500
I was wondering what would be the best turbo for my setup it’ll be externally wastegated and I was thinking to the Garrett gt3071 or gt3076r what would be the best turbine housing choice: 0.63, 082?
What CR would you suggest by the way..?
