hi peeps,just got a l8 ecu for my 4x4 saff,it was running stage 3 with a a1 rally baby board,i want to go back to stage 1,but been told that i cant just remove the baby board and stick in a stage 1 chip in it,is this true???

an L8 needs a babyboard of one kind or another. but you should be able to get a chip to fit into the babyboard that you have

the stage 1 chip ive got plugs into the bit on the ecu,will it not work??

I use st1 L8. Chip installed to st. babyboard. If your chip for L8 ECU it need babyboard.

oh rite so the babyboard is a standard thing in the l8?ive put my stage 1 chip in place of the stage 3 chip on the babyboard,that should work fine?
