phase sensor and idle valve
i have changed my phase sensor today and rotor arm and distributor cap.
i have also cleaned my idle speed control valve - i took it off, cleaned it with brake cleaning fluid (all black shit poured out!) and re-oiled with wd-40.
everything is now back in place and when i start the car it judders and will not rev very well at all. there seems to be no power at all.
can anyone help me?!
many thanks

Did you set the gap correct on the phase sensor and also put the plug on the rite way? not taking the piss its easy done.
Double check that ya put the leads on in the rite order etc.
You could try and unplug isv to see if it changes the prob.

If you have removed the dizzy to do the phase sensor, check it's alignment, as just one (belt) tooth out will cause mayhem.
The notch on which the rotor arm goes needs to be EXACTLY in line with the scribe mark on dizzy body with cams and LUG on pulley all at TDC.
NOTE, the LUG on the bottom pulley is TDC and NOT the groove.

i have set the gap so that is touches the distributor lobes as it turns. i have since learned that the gap should be 0.2mm to 0.3mm.
so would this be my problem?
if you guys think so i will set the gap correctly on thursday.
thanks
